I thought y'all would like to see what I've been working on lately. They're all very much in process, but at least they're functional now, if not pretty.
Here they are on the blades:
And the mouths of the scabbards:
Now, one thing I did discover. The "Evil's Bane" blade I used as a base for the elven warrior sword has an odd shape. Rather than an even curve, it "hooks" at the end. That means I needed to remove some of the rear of the scabbard so I could get the blade in and out:
And here's the sword itself, also in process. The handle is cocobolo, which looks pretty, but is a BEAR to work with! I don't get the skin rash some folks do working with it, but I still go into sneezing fits everytime I take it to the sander. Yuck! I think I'll be finding a different wood to work in on my next project whatever it is:
