I went
I'm working on a photo account thing and then putting my pics on there pretty soon. The Mariott was pretty useless due to the renovations going on so the Hyatt kinda got dumped with way more than they could handle and it's been quite entertaining reading all the feedback on that  But the Hilton was probably the best it's ever been along with the staff, so that's a positive note. Hope you can make it next year. You have such amazing costumes and I'd love to see them in person one day. Hopefully, next year I'll bring the 2nd age armor back and will have re-painted it. HAHA.. Yeah.. It's currently sitting on a PVC dummy I made and moving that thing around is like trying to dress a dead person ( not that i'd know haha).. So I've been putting the repainting off due to how much of a pain of putting everything together again can be.. But it'll be worth it. I'd like to incorporate more gold in it this time... maybe you can see it then Welp, we missed all of you who couldn't make it out. DC seems to just be getting better with all the new talent coming in and new ideas, but I have a special place in my heart for the old and super goodies!

I'd like to dream of going back, but when my kids started going to school it became nearly impossible - especially if both my husband and I come... their first day is the day we would get back and that's just too much stress for them to have us be away. I doubt they'll ever change Dragoncon weekend or the start of school, but who knows!
I heard about the 'no photos' rule at the Hyatt... funny thing is I saw a photo of the posted rule among about a hundred other photos. :P Did you get to see the Spartans? Got Maul was among them!! He used to hang out around these parts, he made an Elrond armor costume and a whole set of cast Haldir armor for a group. He had a big hand in making that 300 armor, though from what I understand it was a major group effort. Pretty amazing stuff!! Yes, I did see the 300 boys. I'm part of the madness that is the Wolfpack and several of our boys hooked up with him and arturo (sorry about spelling)..One of our guys was telling me how he and a couple of TDH boys hand crafted the original molds for the helmets and what not and having worn/touched/seen those suckers in person...Oh my goodness.. They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Chris (SWfreak) was around too.. I don't think I got to talk with him but I saw a couple members from this site too... I doubt they remembered me, but there were a couple in the BSG group that was totally just knock-your-socks off mode.. The flight suits were incredible! There were good spartans.. and then there were Spartans! Some you swore just walked off the movie and were mighty fine....and easy on the eyes.
 haha speaking of which, I know they probably had a table in the past, but The Dented Helmet had a nice little booth set up this year, looked great. I know some of my WP buds didn't get to don their Immotals, but they'll have them for next year... I think I only saw 2.. HAHAHA...The spartans had no one to fight.. But they looked great by themselves. ...So what have you been up to? ....I've been working on getting the pics up (still).. I just started a new job so I'e ben extremely busy!
