i am looking to build a faire style "amusment park". i want a place where people can come to live the way they would in the old days and be whoever they wish to be. what i would like to know is if anyone would be interested in it and if anyone knew how to create a buisness plan

Not sure I can help you out, I like the idea, but it's more a place I'd visit - and I do, they're called Ren Faires.

Hmm, if you want to host larps, you should leave the style of your buildings a little neutral (not too much in one very specific style) so larp organizers can decorate to suit their fantasy world. And not too many buildings perhaps (one for tavern, for sleeping, few smaller and larger buildings for numerous purposes). Some larps I play, often use partytents to represent buildings so a setting can be built anywhere where there is sufficient space available. It often means we use farmland (here in The Netherlands, there is a special organization for farmers renting their land for camping up). Last year I was at an event where a city and a dungeon was made entirely of tents and large sheets of blue and black plastic.
So you're going to need an area with a lot of open space. And forest is also quite nice |
