Oh my goodness woman... You're so AMAZING!!!!! ..I'm speechless and can only make silly sounds at the moment like 'OHHhh' and 'AWWW!!' I absolutely LOOOOOVE the pinata! That was so clever!  Just in general...Great ideas! The course,,The masks looked wonderful ( as always ) A lot of hard work and fantastic ideas went into that and you deserve a HUGE    !!!! That was the cutest thing i've seen in a long time and I can only imagine those kids were having a ball! Happy Birthday to the little one too. ..Goodness... Thank you for posting about that. You just made my day!! |

Btw, if you can manage some time, you should come to the Elf Fantasy Fair in the Netherlands! So many costumes! So many larpers! Bring a larp weapon and you can join squirmishes, bashes and even battles! But mages are cool too, subdue all your attackers with one single powerful spell. These photo's inspire me more to make a larp lightsaber! The Death Star pinata, that is soooo cool  We don't have a pinata tradition around here but it's a great idea! I'm a Star Trek fan too and it could be done with a borg cube. In LOTR style, I might go for the flying nazgul which you have to bash in with swords. I'd probably take wooden swords for kids since larp swords have a core which can come out considering the way kids generally handle their toys. Blunt wooden weapons are better I think. Larp swords look safe with all that foam, but they still must be handled with care. Latex too is by far not indestructible.

Thanks everyone!! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos - I had to share, it was such a HUGE undertaking to make all the stuff. And I was a bit nervous to have all those kids with all the lightsabors and energy - but Obi-wan Kevobi took over as host and alls I had to do was take pictures, run the video and make lunch and cut the cake....
We really make a good team. And yeah, the kids had an amazing time... I'm still working on all the photo shop pictures to email to them.... Borg pinata, I LOVE IT! Julia
