This forum is pretty much kaput, unfortunately - but I'm not going to dump it until ezboard decides to pull out completely into Yuku or whatever it is they do. But that may happen eventually.
Before it does, I just wanted to let those who do come here know that the main site is not going down anytime soon. I had considered it, but the stats are still too strong.
To give you an idea here are the stats for Aug 2007
Unique visitors:5146
Number of visits: 6329 (1.22 visits/visitor)
Pages: 25796 (4.07 pages/visit)
Hits:230453 (36.41 hits/visit)
About 130-260 hits per day
Compare that to the hey day of Aug 2005
Unique: 7497
Number of visits:9684 (1.29 visits/visitor)
Pages:31371(3.23 pages/visit)
Hits:311449(32.16 hits/visit)
about 275 - 340 hits per day
So I get about 1400 less unique visitors and about 150 less hits per day, but the pages and hits per visitors are actually up... which I believe means more people who are hitting the site are actually staying and using it.
In other words, my interest in making LOTR costumes has waned, but the work I did making tutorials is still being used/viewed daily so I'll let that stay up... though I unfortunately don't have time to update it.
I just thought that info might be interesting for people who visit here and believe nothings happening. The community we once had isn't alive, but there are 'elves' out there building costumes. From time to time I get emails as well with awesome photos... Keep sending them! I love it.
And I do check this board so if you want to post, I'll see it eventually and try to respond. It's so fun to see the work people are doing.

And so long as the hits stay high and I keep getting feedback I'll keep investing in the domain...
Tho' a lot of the stuffs we had posted here seems to be missing, it's still one of the avenue for us to make sure each other are still alive and remember the good times.
